Innovative Systems & Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for on-site work in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on developing and enhancing complex software systems for DoD/government customers, with responsibilities spanning design, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• GhostMachineAnalytics experience and PMR familiarity are required.
• PMR framework knowledge is expected for data processing.
• Experience with AVP process and reporting to AVG is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of JAVA/Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• Experience with NiFi and Notifier systems.
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira/Confluence).
• GitLab experience is required.
• 14+ years SWE experience in similar scope with degree; or 18+ with substitution.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software for features.
• Debug existing software and integrate into new environments.
• Develop data queries for databases and data repos.
• Provide recommendations to improve docs and standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
• Assist with testing procedures for components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop software by analyzing performance, users, and flows.
• Serve as team lead appropriate to process in use.
• Modify software to improve performance or adapt to new hardware.
• Design, develop and modify complex software systems and interfaces.
• Oversee one or more teams per project needs.
• Design/implement complex algorithms with timing and resource constraints.
• Confer with system/hardware engineers on requirements.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor functionality.
• Implement documentation/process improvements.
