Job summary

Farm Credit Financial Partners, Inc. (FPI) seeks an experienced Software Engineer III to contribute to enterprise software across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will assist in migrating from legacy C#/ASP.NET/SQL toward Azure and Salesforce while leveraging AI-assisted development tools within a Product team. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, developers, and DevOps, with strong emphasis on code reviews, CI/CD, and technical leadership across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Typically, 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, including experience with cloud-based solutions (Azure/AWS) and legacy systems (.NET/C#/SQL).
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, web services, and modern application frameworks.
• Scrum certification (CSM, CSP, or PMI-ACP) preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems. REST/SOAP web services, Java, C#/C++, .NET, or Apex.
• Experience leading portions of development efforts, providing technical guidance, or mentoring junior developers.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered concepts and exposure to MCP is a plus.
• Strong experience with modern React-based frameworks (Next.js) and TypeScript, Node.js, and ORM/databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of software for strategic projects with architects and other developers.
• Support technical planning and estimation, documenting scope, risks, and approaches.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure standards, performance, and security; resolve complex issues across layers.
• Perform as technical lead on smaller projects and contribute on larger ones.
• Adhere to CI/CD, testing standards and deployment practices; collaborate with DevOps and QA teams.
• Utilize Jira for task management and assignments; apply AI-assisted development tools as standard practice.
• Develop software in Windows, Apple, and PaaS environments ensuring compatibility across architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Hybrid or remote work arrangements with occasional on-site requirements.
