Job summary

Bankers Financial Corporation seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and APIs. You will collaborate with stakeholders, QA, PMs, vendors, and developers to deliver scalable, secure solutions across web apps, APIs, and cloud services.

Ownership of the full software lifecycle is expected in a fast-paced, agile environment. Required experience includes C#/.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Azure; familiarity with AI-enabled development is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4 to 7 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience supporting Java and/or Angular applications.
• Experience developing REST APIs and web services.
• Strong SQL Server and database development experience.
• Experience supporting production applications and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and AI-assisted software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and APIs.
• Support customer-facing and agent-facing web applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems, cloud services, third-party vendors, and legacy applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across applications, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in application design and technical solution discussions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Support application deployments and production releases.
• Assist with modernization initiatives involving cloud technologies and enterprise integrations.
• Collaborate with the AI team to integrate AI capabilities into business applications and workflows.
