Job summary

Braven is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead end-to-end platform design and delivery on the Systems team. The role focuses on complex features across learning platforms, data systems, and AI-driven automation, with mentorship responsibilities and strong engineering discipline.

The position reports to the Sr Dir, Software Engineering and requires in-person collaboration at Chicago or Newark hubs, with hybrid arrangement and travel 2–3 times per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship complex full-stack features across the platform, data pipelines, and automation.
• Raise the team’s technical bar through code reviews, testing, observability, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, stay current on industry trends, and participate in Scrum.
