Job summary

Alphatec Spine, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build client-facing and backend components across the full software development life cycle. You will work on Windows applications, distributed C#/.NET services, and embedded systems within a global team.

You will contribute to system integration, testing, documentation, and Agile processes, and must be onsite 5x/week. The role emphasizes FDA-regulated environments, QSR, IEC 62304/ISO 13485, and modern DevOps practices using

Qualifications

5-8 years of commercial software development experience in R&D.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, Windows apps, distributed services, and WPF.
Experience with embedded systems and data aggregators.
Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments, QSR, IEC 62304/ISO 13485.
CI/CD and collaboration tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based applications, frameworks, distributed services, and C#/.NET software solutions, including both client-facing and backend components.
Develop features for embedded systems, distributed architectures, and integrated software/hardware workflows.
Develop and maintain inter-service communication and integration mechanisms, including RabbitMQ.
Perform integration and system-level testing for software and hardware systems.
Estimate tasks, execute development work, and provide status updates.
Create and maintain software development documentation and collaborate with globally distributed teams.
