Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics. You will mentor juniors, make key technical decisions, and ensure quality with minimal supervision.

Based in Madison, WI or Redwood City, CA, you will work with cloud-based frameworks, RESTful services, and modern Java ecosystems while following design controls and engineering best practices to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of software design and development.
• Experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience with RESTful web services, relational databases, and ORM tech.
• Experience designing apps that use cloud-based frameworks (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience with STARLIMS code.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
