Job summary

PlusAI, a Silicon Valley–based Physical AI company, seeks an experienced engineer to advance its autonomous truck software stack on an on-vehicle platform. You will work with autonomy and runtime teams to improve the redundancy/robustness of software and middleware, including mission control and tele-assist features.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Basic understanding of computer vision and deep learning models.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance IPC/middleware.
• Familiar with CUDA/OpenCL/OpenVX/related SIMD models.
• Experience with ROS2 and DDS.
• Experience with automotive HPC SoCs (NVIDIA preferred).
• Experience with QNX.

Responsibilities

• Improve redundant on-vehicle platform and autonomous software stack.
• Develop perspectives on gaps in our redundant software/hardware strategy.
• Integrate and optimize performance/robustness of autonomous components.
• Design fault detection/handling for the redundant platform.
• Design/validate fault detection and HiL/SIL testing strategies.
• Evaluate and optimize partner middleware; own features like mission control/tele-assist.
• Ensure work aligns with QMS and drive quality improvements.
• Ensure team compliance with QMS and drive process improvements.
