Job summary

PlusAI is hiring for Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to own critical components of autonomous truck data handling. You will work primarily in modern C++ and Python, building high-throughput data recording, transfer, validation, and storage tooling.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python for services, libraries, and tooling.
• Linux systems knowledge: concurrency, memory management, I/O, networking, debugging, profiling.
• Strong ownership: quick learner, responsible for end-to-end projects.

Responsibilities

• Design high-throughput C++ systems to record vehicle sensor and runtime data within resource constraints.
• Build Python data-plane services for data transfer, validation, cataloging, and storage lifecycle management.
• Evolve data formats and APIs in C++/Python with backward compatibility and schema evolution.
• Improve fleet-scale data access and analytics through columnar representations and APIs for efficiency.
