Job summary

PlusAI, a Physical AI company in Silicon Valley, seeks Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to own critical parts of data recording, transfer, and analytics for autonomous trucks. You will work primarily in C++ and Python, tackling systems challenges on vehicle computers and large-scale offline infrastructure.

We value strong fundamentals, ownership, and the ability to learn; prior autonomous-vehicle experience is helpful but not required. Opening at multiple seniority levels.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming experience in modern C++ and Python for services, libraries, and tooling.
• Linux systems knowledge including concurrency, memory and resource management, filesystem I/O, networking, debugging and performance profiling.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive projects end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve high-throughput C++ systems to record vehicle sensor and runtime data under CPU/memory constraints.
• Build reliable Python data-plane services for data transfer, ingestion, validation, and storage lifecycle management.
• Evolve vehicle-data formats and APIs in C++/Python with versioning, serialization, and backward compatibility.
• Improve columnar and lakehouse representations and access APIs for fleet-scale mining and analytics.
• Ensure work aligns with QMS requirements and contribute to continuous improvement.
