Job summary

PlusAI is seeking a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to build and scale simulation infrastructure powering autonomous truck development. You will design AI-driven analysis workflows, scalable pipelines, and data-driven validation to drive program milestones.

The role requires strong Python/C++ skills and collaboration across simulation, onboard, systems engineering, and data science teams to boost fidelity and reliability in real-world validation efforts.

Qualifications

• MS with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD new grad in mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or related field.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic workflows for data analysis, evaluation, or automation.
• Experience quantifying or improving simulation fidelity / closing sim-to-real gap (sensor modeling, actor behavior, scenario generation).
• Proficient in Python or C++, with experience building scalable data processing systems or evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agentic workflows to analyze simulation results and surface root causes across large-scale test runs.
• Architect and scale simulation pipelines, evaluate metrics, and analyze road test and simulation data to improve model accuracy.
• Reduce divergence between simulation and real-world behavior to increase fidelity across actors, sensors, and dynamics.
• Monitor and improve performance, scalability, testing, and reliability of the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to reproduce and resolve issues from real-world tests.
• Contribute to long-term system architecture and ensure alignment with customer requirements and quality policies.
