Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. in New York seeks a Senior Associate to map complex mortgage loan processes and design tech solutions, including data pipelines, internal applications, APIs, and workflow automation to support loan acquisition, financing, servicing, and portfolio management.

You will coordinate projects across investment, operations, data, and technology teams, build data infrastructure for reporting, and align with firm-wide platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical/engineering field.
• 3+ years as a software developer, shipping production systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong programming in Python, C++, C#, or Java; SQL and relational databases.
• Experience designing data pipelines, APIs, and internal applications end-to-end.
• Cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure); CI/CD and automated testing.
• Ability to map complex business processes into technical solutions and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand and map cross-functional processes across the residential mortgage loan lifecycle.
• Design and implement data pipelines, internal apps, APIs, and workflow automation for loan needs.
• Coordinate projects across teams and translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure for reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with central Technology and Data teams on architecture and data access.
• Establish engineering best practices: code quality, testing, documentation, version control.
