Job summary

Quindar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead mission-planning systems that support real-world spacecraft operations. You will design, optimize, and operate backend services across the platform using Python, with emphasis on low latency and high reliability.

You will translate complex operational needs into scalable software solutions, collaborate across teams, and help drive automation and AI-assisted development while owning critical components from design through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience with backend and distributed systems.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade software from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of mission-planning, scheduling, optimization, and automation systems.
• Develop and validate algorithms for planning and resource allocation across large spaces.
• Build high-performance APIs and distributed services for low-latency workloads.
• Improve scalability, reliability, observability, and operational readiness of critical systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive automation and AI-assisted development.
