Job summary
Johnson & Johnson Orthopaedics team (DePuy Synthes) seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure R&D, to lead on-device medical software that securely connects to cloud for telemetry and control. Based in Boston, you will collaborate with systems, hardware, firmware, quality, and regulatory partners to deliver safe, scalable software impacting patient outcomes.
You will build Windows-based on-device services, design secure connectivity, and drive CI/CD, testing, and regulatory documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience required.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack C#/.NET development and core CS fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Build production-grade on-device applications in C#/.NET for Windows targets with cloud integration.
- Design secure device-to-cloud connectivity using modern security practices and TLS.
- Develop cloud backends in Azure for telemetry, command routing, and fleet management.
- Contribute to regulatory documentation and traceability per IEC 62304 and ISO 14971; support FDA submissions.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design/code reviews.
