Epignosis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the most complex engineering challenges within their team. You’ll take substantial features from design through production, identify risks, and raise the bar for code quality, testing, and reliability across the systems your team owns.

The role emphasizes mentoring, architectural guidance, and collaboration across teams to elevate engineering standards and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and running production web applications and distributed systems at scale.
• A track record of owning complex work end to end.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex work end to end from design through production follow-up.
• Turn ambiguity into a plan with delivery milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Own design decisions across data model, API surface, and processing.
• Surface risks and propose viable alternatives across teams.
• Build security controls and protect data and surfaces.
• Improve testing, observability, and reliability for team systems.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Provide technical direction through code and design reviews.
