AppFolio is hiring a senior-level full-stack Software Engineer to join our Leasing Engineering Team and drive rapid product development. We work collaboratively to define the technical direction for our SaaS products, delivering high-quality solutions for our customers.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building and scaling web-based SaaS applications.
Comfortable across the full stack and able to break down complex problems.
Experience leading technical projects end-to-end from requirements to launch.
Familiar with modern Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD).
Strong automated testing experience and understanding of its value.
Language-agnostic with deep experience in Ruby, Java, or Python.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable, resilient web-based solutions to real estate SaaS problems.
Lead by example in design, coding, and architecture; mentor engineers.
Design and optimize algorithms and queries for SaaS performance and scalability.
Deliver new features and improve existing ones with robustness and maintainability.
Promote test-driven development, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
Collaborate with engineers, QA, product, designers, and researchers on end-to-end solutions.
Champion agile practices to enable rapid delivery and accountability.
