Job summary

Epignosis is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead several product teams and drive a connected SaaS platform across our Athens/Heraklion offices. You will own engineering delivery, mentor tech leads, and shape team structure as we move toward a shared suite of products.

You’ll thrive if you balance delivery with platform health, coach leaders, and communicate clearly with non-engineers. Hybrid work 2–3 days per week is supported.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years managing software engineers and leads.
• Ability to discuss architecture decisions and trade-offs.
• Experience leading multiple teams in a product organization.
• Proven track record of growing engineers and leaders.
• Comfort with organizational ambiguity and structuring as needed.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Availability to work in hybrid Athens/Heraklion offices 2–3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Stay close to the work and read code, participate in incidents, and prototype when needed.
• Own engineering delivery for a product line in partnership with Product counterpart.
• Lead several teams through tech leads and managers, not every engineer directly.
• Grow tech leads into engineering managers through coaching and feedback.
• Set and hold delivery expectations and be honest about achievability.
• Own team health: hiring, onboarding, performance, and day-to-day conditions.
• Make clear ownership decisions about systems and cross-border work.
• Balance feature delivery with platform health and make explicit trade-offs.
• Collaborate with peers on shared services, standards, and architecture.
