Job summary

Propelus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead hands-on development for a React Native companion app, shipping features end-to-end across a unified TypeScript stack. You will work with web, API, and design teams to deliver a compliant, accessible platform for licensed healthcare professionals.

You will drive quality with strong coding standards, mentoring, and careful architecture decisions, while ensuring reliability, scalability, and accessibility across mobile and web experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real, full stack production experience with React/Node.js.
• Experience building in a cloud-native development environment with CI/CD.
• Strong system-design instincts focused on reliability and scalability.
• Experience reviewing AI-assisted code (Claude Code or Copilot) to expedite workflow.
• Track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers on distributed teams.
• Experience building accessible web applications (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Responsibilities

• Actively review and debug code in an AI-first environment for accuracy and compliance.
• Ship full-stack features across accessible React UIs, type-safe APIs, and a GraphQL layer over data stores.
• Work with web and mobile teams to build new features for web and mobile.
• Explain architectural trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Own what you ship with instrumentation, incidents, and postmortems.
• Mentor engineers and improve testing, CI/CD, and tooling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across product lines and pivot when needed.
