Job summary

• Design, develop, and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs on Azure
• Build secure, scalable, and resilient services using Azure services including AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Key Vault, and App Gateway
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans with architects and product teams
• Own services through design, development, testing, deployment, observability, support, and continuous improvement
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
• Design and tune relational and NoSQL data models and integrations
• Apply cloud-native and distributed-systems patterns for scalability and reliability
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture forums
• Mentor developers, pair program, and provide technical guidance
• Improve engineering practices, tooling, and platform capabilities

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience building production-grade applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent demonstrable professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices-based architectures
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, preferably including container-based workloads
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) for container orchestration, deployment, and scaling
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Redis, or Cassandra
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git-based workflows
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, resiliency, and scalability patterns
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codeium
• Ability to mentor engineers, lead design sessions, and influence architecture and engineering decisions
• No GM immigration-related sponsorship available now or in the future; applicants must not require sponsorship
• Preferred: experience with large-scale, high-availability systems in global enterprise environments
• Preferred: additional Azure services, event-driven architectures, observability tooling, security practices, front-end/full-stack development, and legacy modernization
