Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure for internal use and external partners. You will work across IAM, endpoint management, and our SaaS stack, driving automation and real‑time integrations.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, implement testing frameworks, and contribute to delivery improvements while handling sensitive data in cloud environments. The role emphasizes security and scalable design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with UI frameworks such as React or Angular and HTML, CSS, Typescript, etc
• Proficiency with backend technologies, including API development, databases, and privacy permissions. Ex. Go, Python, PostgreSQL and GraphQL
• Experience with end-to-end testing and documentation
• Experience developing secure, scalable, and resilient applications on the cloud that handle sensitive data
• Experience with cloud technologies, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and NIST.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure for Scale employees and external users.
• Develop full‑stack applications and automation for internal tools and external partners.
• Collaborate with IAM team to manage cloud-based identity (Okta) and access controls.
• Build real-time integrations with SaaS platforms and maintain code quality with tests.
• Engage in engineering reviews, improve delivery processes, and support cross‑functional work.
