Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join the Scaled Operations AI Acceleration Team in Austin. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered automation solutions to transform operational processes at scale, collaborating across functions and guiding contract workers.

You will apply full-stack engineering—backend, frontend, and data engineering—while adhering to security and privacy requirements and reporting on impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in ML, NLP, AI‑infrastructure or related technical area.
• Experience with the full web stack, REST API, Python, PHP/Hack, JavaScript/React.
• Knowledge of PyTorch fine‑tuning and at least one LLM (e.g., Llama, GPT, Claude).
• Experience communicating with technical and business audiences; strong data analysis (SQL).
• Experience guiding contractor/vendor workers in technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development to design, deploy, and maintain AI‑powered automation solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and implement solutions to improve efficiency using AI tech.
• Collaborate with process owners, architects, product managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Apply backend, frontend, and data engineering skills to build scalable systems.
• Manage and guide contractor/vendor workers to deliver quality solutions.
• Ensure all solutions meet Meta’s security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Communicate progress and impact to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Stay current with AI/ML advancements and experiment with new tools.
• Develop playbooks, templates, and best practices for automation at scale.
• Track and report on key metrics and business impact of automation.
