Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for a remote role focused on maintaining and enhancing Cotiviti’s software suite. You will work with senior developers and offshore teams to deliver high-quality modules, resolve complex issues, and document designs prior to rollout.

The position requires 4+ years healthcare data experience, 5+ years in databases and ETL, and proficiency in Java/.NET and AWS. Remote work is supported with virtual interviews and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS or MS Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Must have 4+ years healthcare data experience.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets.
• 5+ years' experience with relational databases.
• 5+ years' experience with ETL processes.
• Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
• Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• 5+ years' experience with scripting languages: VBScript or PowerShell.
• 5+ years' experience with Java or .Net Frameworks.
• 5+ years' experience with AWS.
• 5+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 5+ years' experience with MS Access.
• 5+ years' experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong Knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices, preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and improvement of high-quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite.
• Analyze and resolve complex software related issues including identification of root causes.
• Champion comprehensive documentation of specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production roll out.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the primary discipline and related disciplines.
• Design and implement solutions that significantly improve performance / availability.
• Proactively communicate technical and operational issues to engineering and business leadership with clear recommendations.
• Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems and evaluate new standards.
• Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for integration into the Cotiviti product suite.
• Execute all appropriate facets of the SDLC with a desire for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Complete responsibilities as outlined in performance reviews and goals.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
