Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance software modules within the Cotiviti product suite. You will collaborate with senior developers, offshore teams, business owners, and project management to deliver reliable software solutions.

The role requires strong expertise in Java or Python, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and cloud experience. You will mentor peers, participate in SDLC processes, and continuously learn new technologies to drive performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• 4-5 years of industry experience.
• 2+ years' Healthcare data experience or highly regulated industry.
• Proficiency working with large datasets.
• Optimization and tuning of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• Strong knowledge in Spark/PySpark.
• 4-5 years' experience with languages: Java or Python.
• 3+ years experience with API with containerization.
• 4-5 years' experience with 3rd party platforms: Appian, Cloudera Hadoop.
• 4-5 years' experience with databases: Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, Hive.
• Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices, preferred.
• Proficiency working with large data sets.
• ETL and Data Engineering experience with handling large data sets.
• 4-5 years' experience with web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• 1+ years experience in UI frameworks like React.
• Cloud experience is highly preferred (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance high quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite.
• Analyze and resolve software related issues originating from internal or external customers.
• Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production roll out.
• Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of the primary discipline and a developing knowledge of related disciplines.
• Execute solutions enhancements to improve performance / availability.
• Communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.
• Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems which improve efficiency and results.
• Continuously improve and enhance knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite.
• Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement.
• Mentor other developers.
• Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
• Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
