Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join the CoCounsel Applications team. You will design and deliver full-stack features using React, TypeScript, and Python, building AI-powered capabilities and MCP/A2A tooling.

You will collaborate across product, design, and backend groups, own your workstreams from planning to production, and contribute to a culture of quality, performance, and continuous learning in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production web apps.
• Frontend expertise with React, TypeScript, and strong frontend fundamentals.
• Backend & AI skills: APIs in Python; familiarity with GenAI concepts and LLM tooling.
• Ownership: deliver features from design through production with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across frontend and backend using React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Deliver high-quality software with performance, accessibility, and testing in mind.
• Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to ship cohesive user experiences.
• Break down features into tasks and own them from development to production.
• Share knowledge through pairing, code reviews, and technical discussions.
