Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production backend systems, APIs, and microservices for real customers.
• Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services with distributed systems know-how.
• Experience designing and deploying production-grade agentic AI workflows including multi-step reasoning and orchestration.
• Excellent debugging skills and ability to deliver reliable, production-ready systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered backend systems using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL to support real-time AI interactions.
• Define platform architecture, service boundaries, and scalable design patterns for an AI platform.
• Integrate with LLM providers and implement orchestration, routing, error handling, and observability.
• Collaborate with Labs, product managers, and designers to turn concepts into production features for international products.
• Mentor other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance.
