Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications. You will collaborate with stakeholders and offshore teams in an agile environment to deliver scalable, secure software solutions and provide technical leadership.

The role requires a Computer Science or related degree and 3+ years of software development experience, with hands-on APIs, cloud, and CI/CD expertise. Hybrid office model: three days in the Philadelphia hub with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Three years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development principles.
• Experience with APIs, SOA, and system integrations.
• Cloud technologies and modern development platforms.
• Familiarity with source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and CI/CD.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and product owners in an agile environment.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Evaluate options considering scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop integrations, APIs, and distributed architectures.
• Work with vendors and offshore teams to meet objectives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide production support and fault resolution.
• Present technical updates to varied audiences.
