Job summary

General Motors in Milford, Michigan is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for High Voltage Electrification. You will join the VMEC team to develop embedded software for HV contactors and energy management in GM's electrification portfolio.

Hybrid role requiring on-site presence at Milford Proving Grounds several times weekly. Candidates should have HV battery systems experience, strong C/C++, and a track record in safety-critical software development.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required with 5+ years embedded controls experience in HV battery systems.
• Automotive safety experience and MISRA guidance familiarity.
• Strong C/C++ skills with experience in SiL/HiL testing and vehicle-level validation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality embedded software for HV system controls and energy management.
• Lead and guide Agile Scrum team members; coordinate with cross-functional departments.
• Design and implement diagnostics, tests, and controller communications.
• Ensure software built in quality with automated testing and CD/CI pipelines.
