Job summary

General Motors Corporation is seeking a Controls Software Engineer for Energy Source Control. This hybrid role enables on-site work about three days per week and focuses on embedded C/C++ development for low voltage power systems across GM's EV and conventional vehicle portfolio.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years embedded controls, calibration, integration, or software development.
• Proficient with C, C++, Python.
• Experience with SAFE/Agile development processes.
• Experience using test assets (SIL/HIL/Vehicle) and tools (INCA, MDA).
• Ability to analyze data to verify system and feature performance.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of low voltage controls features in embedded C/C++.
• Collaborate with System Engineers, Calibrators, Architects, and Scrum roles.
• Verify functional performance through Unit, HIL, SIL, and Vehicle testing.
• Document Intellectual Property and participate in program events.
• Mentor teammates and create training materials.
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the team.
