Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions for Payer Operations. You will architect and code software applications, test and debug systems, and collaborate across engineering domains to optimize payer metadata and automate lifecycle contracts.

You will lead design discussions, ensure scalable integration layers, and drive innovation with AI/ML while maintaining governance and high-quality documentation for platform self-service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases
• Dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing experience
• Programming in SQL, Python, and related languages for cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services
• Experience troubleshooting data issues and applying performance improvement techniques
• Willingness to identify process improvements and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, core clinical systems, and Enterprise Data Platform.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure reliability and scalability of the integration layer.
• Act as a technical consultant to Product and Business leads and refine requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Explore new tools and AI/ML frameworks to drive innovation and automation.
• Create and maintain system designs, architecture diagrams, and governance documentation for platform self-service.
