Job summary

CVS Health is seeking aSenior Data Engineer to design and implement digital solutions that optimize Payer Operations, focusing on metadata enrichment, automated contracts, and performance measurement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable integration patterns, ensure data quality, and drive innovative AI-powered automation across the data platform. A strong emphasis on governance, documentation, and stakeholder communication is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with SQL and relational DBMS.
• Hands-on dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Programming with SQL, Python, and other languages to support cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues.
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design end-to-end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and data platforms.
• Quality & Resilience: Conduct testing, debugging, and peer code reviews to ensure reliability and scalability of the integration layer.
• Stakeholder Leadership: Advise Product and Business leads, refining requirements and proposing design patterns.
• Innovation & AI: Explore new tools and frameworks, integrating AI/ML to automate and optimize workflows.
• Documentation & Governance: Create architecture diagrams and best practices for self-service platform knowledge transfer.
• Self Starter: Able to work with ambiguity, ask questions, and develop solutions with stakeholders.
