Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions focused on payer operations. You’ll architect end-to-end integration patterns across cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and the Enterprise Data Platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will lead testing, debugging, performance tuning, and governance, apply AI/ML where appropriate, and create clear documentation to enable platform self-service and ongoing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and others to support Cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues.
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques.
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design end-to-end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, core clinical systems (Epic EMR), and a data platform across domains.
• Quality & Resilience: Conduct system testing, debugging, and peer code reviews for reliable integration layers.
• Stakeholder Leadership: Act as a technical consultant to Product and Business leads and refine requirements.
• Innovation & AI: Explore AI/ML tools to drive smarter automation in development processes.
• Documentation & Governance: Create architecture diagrams and best practices for platform self-service.
• Self Starter: Handle ambiguity by asking stakeholders the right questions to define scope and deliver solutions.
