Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead hands-on, full stack development across our patient-facing experiences and backend services. You will design scalable architectures, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver impactful features.

Expect a data-informed, iterative approach and a focus on performance, reliability, and privacy. You will partner with multiple teams to launch new workflows, improve the patient journey, and maintain robust

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web products with strong full stack skills in React/Next.js and Node/TypeScript.
• Proven experience delivering scalable, high quality web applications and services in a modern cloud environment.
• Experience building and operating third party integrations and asynchronous, event driven workflows where correctness and reliability matter.
• Proficiency in front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL) and back end technologies (Node.js, Nest.js, PostgresDB, Redis, Amazon SQS).
• Track record of shipping experiment driven features and familiarity with feature flag platforms such as GrowthBook, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, performant full stack solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product and design to define feasible solutions and timelines.
• Partner with UX/UI to build intuitive interfaces and improve user engagement.
• Build and maintain reliable integrations with external partners and internal systems.
• Drive developer velocity by improving workflows, tools, and processes.
• Break down complex projects into actionable tasks and lead execution.
• Contribute to technical vision by identifying strategic technologies and investments.
