Job summary

RVO Health seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Minneapolis with 4+ years in software development and strong Next.js, React, and TypeScript. The role involves end-to-end design, collaboration with product and design teams, and mentoring engineers in a hybrid setting with in-office Tue–Thu and optional remote Mon/Fri.

You will work across Go and Python, focus on user-facing applications, and contribute to testing, performance, and code quality while staying current with emerging tech and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience in software development, with a focus on user-facing applications.
• 3+ years expert-level experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript; experience in Go and Python.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with software testing.
• Experience using AI for code generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and implementation of software applications and systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into robust designs.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, scalable code following standards.
• Debug and resolve complex defects and performance bottlenecks for reliability.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure quality.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; provide technical guidance.
• Perform thorough code reviews to maintain high quality and best practices.
• Continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to inform strategy and innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
