Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape core technology for payment workflows, transaction reporting, and connected digital experiences. You will work across full-stack components with product and engineering partners to turn requirements into scalable designs.

Responsibilities include contributing to architecture, building APIs for web and mobile, reviewing code, and solving cross-stack issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants for software development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical architecture and design for a core platform.
• Build full-stack capabilities across user interfaces and backend services.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Design reusable APIs for web, mobile, and partner experiences.
• Establish patterns for payment workflows and transaction reporting.
• Write production code and resolve complex issues across the application stack.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure engineering quality.
