Job summary

Scan.com is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment, to scale its core patient lifecycle platform. You will architect workflows from referral to radiology reports, handling scheduling, preauthorization, forms, reminders, invoices, and dashboards for operations.

You will own robust, scalable services in a high-throughput environment, collaborating with ops teams and product leadership to reduce friction for patients and providers alike.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex internal dashboards and reliable services.
• Backend development in modern web stacks with Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API patterns and system design.
• Solid operational instincts and on-call experience are a plus.
• Healthcare experience is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement patient intake workflows and scheduling reminders.
• Architect a monitoring system to track patients at scale for operations.
• Develop dashboards for scheduling, operations, and patient services.
• Own the automation layer for referrals, task assignment, and AI reminders.
