Job summary

Scan.com in New York is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment, to architect and build the core workflows that move patients through the imaging lifecycle. You will design intake workflows, schedule patient activities, and create automated processes across the platform.

You will develop dashboards for scheduling operations and patient services, monitor journeys at scale, and own the automation layer for the team to ensure reliable, high-throughput workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex internal dashboards and workflows.
• Backend development with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL for scalable services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, versioning and API contracts.
• Strong on-call and incident response mindset.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement patient intake workflows, scheduling, and reminders.
• Architect a monitoring system for patients in their journey at scale.
• Develop dashboards for scheduling operations, legal operations, and patient services.
• Own the automation layer for the operations team and surface issues early.
