Job summary

Scan.com in New York is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment to architect and build the workflows that power our patient lifecycle—from intake to reports and invoicing.

You will scale operational workflows, collaborate with operations teams, and own the automation layer from referral ingestion to task assignment and AI-driven reminders, ensuring high-throughput reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex internal operations dashboards.
• Backend development in modern web stacks with focus on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API patterns and API contracts.
• Strong operational instincts and on-call discipline.
• Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement patient intake workflows, including scheduling and reminders.
• Architect a monitoring system for patients in their journey at scale.
• Develop dashboards for scheduling operations, legal operations, and patient services teams.
• Own the automation layer: referral ingestion, task assignment, AI voice reminders, and proactive issue surfacing.
