RTX's Collins Aerospace division in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Military Avionics Flight Management team. You will design, develop, and test flight management software integrated into military helicopters and aircraft, collaborating with cross-functional engineers in an AGILE environment.

Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required. Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM degree with 5+ years of software experience, proficiency in C/C++,

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Software role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems in military avionics.
• Collaborate with systems and software engineers applying leadership, communication and coordination skills.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed.
