Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking a software-focused team member to join Systems and Software engineering. You will design, develop, and test flight-management software features integrated into military helicopters and planes, collaborating across disciplines.

You will gain exposure to Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems, with opportunities to travel <10% and to contribute to high-quality aerospace software in a defense context.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major to be obtained by start date
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes
• Integrates soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment that provides quality and timely products to internal and external customers
• Travel (domestic and international <10%) as needed.
