Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace Military Avionics is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA to join the Flight Management team. You will work with systems and software engineers to design, develop, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft.

We value hands-on experience with C/C++, DOORS, ADA and Python, together with a systems engineering background. Some travel (<10%) and relocation assistance are available. This onsite role requires collaboration in an AGILE environment and a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.
• Master your knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Travel (domestic and international <10%) as needed.
