Job summary
State Farm is hiring a Software Engineer to support Enterprise Technology Financial Services. The role partners with Financial Services to maintain and bring new opportunities to market.
You will apply modern coding practices, design, develop, and maintain secure, user-friendly applications in a hybrid work setting near hub locations including Dunwoody, GA. Qualified candidates will have strong software development experience in Go/Java/JavaScript/Python/Angular/Springboot, cloud knowledge
Qualifications
- Software engineering experience and application development background.
- Active development in Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, Angular and Springboot.
- AWS well-architected knowledge and familiarity with .NET/Azure or similar.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience; secure coding practices.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems and influence engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications that meet business needs with security and usability in mind.
- Collaborate with teams to analyze requirements and deploy solutions in Agile/DevOps contexts.
- Provide technical consultation and direction to product teams and partners.
- Lead code reviews, architecture decisions, and ensure product testing practices (TDD/BDD).
- Mentor and coordinate work within the product team and area members.
