Job summary
State Farm in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Software Engineer to join our claims platform team. You will build scalable full‑stack solutions on AWS, using Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/Node.js, or Python, and collaborate with product, architecture, and operations to improve customer experience and claim processing.
You will work with REST APIs, event-driven patterns, containers on Kubernetes/OpenShift, and modern CI/CD pipelines, while emphasizing security, observability, and quality coding
Qualifications
- Experience with full-stack development across backend and frontend layers.
- Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot), TypeScript/Node.js, or Python.
- Hands-on AWS experience and building scalable services.
- Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven integration.
- Proficient in containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments.
- Solid CI/CD practices and modern release management.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and developer workflows.
