Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support critical Air Force and DoD information technology programs within the National Security Solutions team.

You will design, develop, modernize, and maintain enterprise applications across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure systems. The role emphasizes architecture leadership, OO design, and modern web technologies (Angular/TypeScript) with opportunities to work on cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework and OO development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications and distributed software systems.
• Architect, develop, and support RESTful APIs and service‑oriented solutions.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
• Lead technical design and software architecture initiatives using OO principles.
• Collaborate with PMs, POs, Architects and Eng teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Support migration and modernization efforts including cloud platforms.
• Design, optimize and maintain database solutions (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Redis).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop technical documentation and interface specifications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including AI‑assisted capabilities.
• Analyze performance and improve reliability and scalability.
