Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team seeks a Software Engineer to advance modeling, simulation, and secure platform development for DoD missions. You will develop end‑to‑end cloud lifecycles, lead platform services, and drive secure, compliant system design across Linux and Windows in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities include delivering high‑performance C++ software, building DevSecOps pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, managing Artifactory artifacts, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with TS eligibility.
• 5+ years of modeling & simulation development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery.
• Experience with Artifactory and cross‑platform Linux/Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of modeling and simulation software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
• Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Develop and maintain software systems in C++ for high‑performance apps.
• Build and manage artifact pipelines using Artifactory.
• Develop and support cross‑platform applications (Linux and Windows).
• Perform development and optimization within RHEL‑based systems.
• Contribute to secure system design, implementation, and compliance practices.
• Integrate simulation tools into larger platform architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission requirements.
