Job summary

Serco invites applications for a Senior Level Software Engineer supporting a cutting-edge Air Force program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will develop software strategies and translate requirements for DoD systems, with responsibilities spanning assessment, testing, and documentation.

The role requires hands-on software development experience, a top-secret clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility, and 10+ years in engineering roles (Masters) or 15+ years (Bachelor's). Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI and SAP access

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for acquisition, development, and sustainment of software for weapon systems/subsystems/equipment
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, testing, and evaluation of software for computer systems
• Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and control measures and verify quality accreditation
• Evaluate contractor design changes, perform systems analyses and trade-off studies
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in testing, review data, and make recommendations
• Support development/review of program and contract documentation
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
