Job summary

Raytheon Fort Wayne, IN is seeking software engineers to join the DoD-focused software team responsible for aerospace and defense systems including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, and Sensors. This onsite role requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You will work in agile teams, collaborate with Systems and Integration Test Engineers, and contribute across the software lifecycle using C++, Java, Ada and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of five (5)+ years of relevant professional experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar OO language.

What You Will Do:

• Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
• Responsible for some or all of a Software product, contributing as a software team member and possibly leading a small software team.
• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant professional experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar software object-oriented language
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance.

• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
