Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking software engineers for the Tewksbury/Woburn, MA area to contribute to Battle Management, C2, Communications, and related systems. Onsite role requiring US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

You will join a team delivering complex software for aerospace and defense applications. We value collaboration, problem solving, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of software development, integration, and/or test experience with C++, C#, Java, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and experience in CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-discipline, integrated product teams to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Engage in agile execution and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement, and test system components.

The mission of the software team in Tewksbury or Woburn, MA is to provide world-class software for our customers. We are looking to add software engineers to our development team for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems.

What You Will Do
  • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
  • Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics or a related (STEM) discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, C#, Java or similar software language
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
  • Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
