Job summary

RTX in Fort Wayne, Indiana, seeks a Software Section Leader to join the Battle Management Systems Software Department. This 100% onsite role leads software personnel to meet program needs in a dynamic agile environment.

The ideal candidate has STEM education and 5+ years of experience, with expertise in C/C++, Java, Ada, and modern dev tools. A DoD Secret clearance is required on day one; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience with complex systems.
• Experience with software development techniques and tools, including some, or all, of the following computer languages: C/C++, Java, or Ada.

We are seeking a motivated Software Section Leader to join the Software Team within the Battle Management Systems Software Department.As a Section Leader, you will be responsible for the oversight of software personnel to meet program needs.The ideal candidate is a well-disciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background, who is able to thrive in a dynamic agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting.

This position will be 100% on site in Ft. Wayne, IN.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
