Job summary

Bixal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a remote Senior Developer Portal Engineer to build and maintain a self-service developer portal and tooling for a federal platform. You will work with UX researchers and content specialists to translate research into instrumented software and improving developer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience automating cross-platform workflows across SCM, CI/CD, issue tracking, observability.
• Proven ability to build reusable automation patterns (APIs, bots, webhooks, event-driven services, IaC).
• Experience integrating IAM, provisioning, and compliance across SaaS platforms.
• Strong monitoring and reliability practices, including failure detection and audit logging.
• Ability to deliver platform improvements that enhance developer experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Tier 4 High Risk Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the self-service developer portal and tooling for a federal agency’s platform.
• Design and automate cross-platform workflows spanning SCM, CI/CD, issue tracking, observability, and collaboration tools.
• Build reusable automation patterns (APIs, bots, webhooks, event-driven services, IaC, internal tooling).
• Integrate identity, access management, provisioning, and compliance across SaaS platforms.
• Monitor workflow reliability, including failure detection, retry strategies, and audit logging.
• Translate research-backed onboarding flows into working software.
• Deliver platform improvements that measurably improve developer experience.
• Collaborate with UX and documentation specialists.
• Other duties as qualified and trained to perform.
