Job summary

Together AI, based in San Francisco, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Customer Insights team. You will help customers understand and act on their activity by building a reliable visibility platform, with a focus on tracing events and diagnosing issues.

You will own end-to-end components, design robust data pipelines, and work with Data Platform and Observability teams to enhance the core data stack. Strong coding and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and operating production distributed systems or customer-facing backend platforms.
• Experience designing and scaling data pipelines for high-volume ingestion and real-time querying.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, Java, TypeScript, C++, or similar production languages.
• Excellent communication skills – write clear design docs and collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong data modeling instincts across relational and non-relational data at scale.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship core features of Together's Customer Insights platform—visibility, traceability, and actionability for customers.
• Drive the technical design for new capabilities, including architecture proposals and design docs.
• Collaborate with Data Platform and Observability teams to leverage core data stack for insights.
• Own significant areas of the system end-to-end—from design to testing, rollout and health.
• Write and maintain backend and product code; identify risks and resolve blockers across teams.
