Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Customer Experience Engineering team in the United States. You will build intelligent data applications, diagnose issues, and reduce friction for customers by delivering cross-functional features across Java/Python services running in Kubernetes and Snowpark Container Services.

You will mentor teammates, shape the product direction, and collaborate with product and design partners to scale impact while delivering robust APIs and reliable

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent discipline
• 6+ years hands-on software engineering experience
• Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale
• Expertise in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, GoLang
• Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive projects that span our stack, including Java and Python services hosted in Kubernetes and Snowpark Container Services
• Promote collaboration within a cross-functional team including product management and design
• Deliver features requiring close coordination with several partner teams
• Contribute to product vision and drive team planning
• Pinpoint problems, instrument components, and implement solutions
• Mentor and coach junior team members
